- Jar fly

- Jerusalem Cricket
- a species of cricket found from Nebraska to New Mexico and Mexico, north along the pacific coast to Washington and east to Montana.

- a sensory organ used to detect sound near the base of the antenna.

- cf. Jugum - an area of the fore wing in some insects that overlaps the hind wing and holds them together.

- Juvenile hormone
- a hormone that inhibits development of a juvenile insect to an adult.
