This section of the Web site contains information on the publications of the Amateur Entomologists' Society. The society publishes a number of regular journals in addition to books and leaflets covering a wide diversity of entomological topics.

Bulletin

The Bulletin of the Amateur Entomologists' Society contains articles written by members on all aspects of entomology. The Bulletin is published four times a year.

Bug Club Magazine

The Bug Club Magazine (BCM) is for junior members of the society. The BCM is published four times a year and contains exciting articles on all sorts of creepy crawlies.

Entomologist's Record and Journal of Variation

The Entomologist's Record and Journal of Variation contains both peer-reviewed articles and Notes, including some regular definitive reviews, such as the annual review of migrant Lepidoptera. The Entomologist's Record is published six times a year.

Invertebrate Conservation News

Invertebrate Conservation News is the Society's Conservation journal. Members receive Invertebrate Conservation News with their subscription to the Entomologist's Record or the Bulletin.

Books and Leaflets

The Amateur Entomologists' Society is well known for publishing high quality entomological literature. In addition to our periodicals the society publishes a wide range of books, pamphlets and leaflets specifically aimed at amateurs.

Email newsletter

The email newsletter provides members of the AES and Bug Club with a monthly update from the society including upcoming events and the opportunity to sell or exchange unwanted items with other members.

Online publications

The society has been involved in the production of several guides and codes of practice. These publications are available online for the benefit of entomologists throughout the world.

Beetle News

Beetle News is an exciting online publication for people interested in beetles. Beetle News is public domain and published quarterly (March, June, September and December). The Amateur Entomologists' Society does not publish Beetle News but provides and online archive of back issues for download as a free service.
