Amateur
Entomologists'
Society

Complete list of our publications

The first publication, other than the regular journals produced by the Amateur Entomologists' Society appeared in 1939, and the Society continues to produce value for money and highly respected entomological books today.

Over the years many such publications have appeared, many of which are still available today and the following is a list of all those that have been produced, including any known reprints and new editions. Number printed, printers name, and authors (where known) are given, as well as the year they went out of print for those no longer available. Second-hand copies are sometimes available. Please contact us if there is any title you particularly want

Many people will be familiar with the books, pamphlets and leaflets categorisation of our publications, for this reason the list below also uses this system. However, all new publications (those being published from 2003 onwards) are simply classified as books irrespective of their size.

The listings are broken down by the series to which the publication belongs:

Leaflets

"Coleoptera Collecting" was the first publication other than the regular journals produced by the Society in 1939, and although it was not itself numbered, as the series of such leaflets grew it was allocated the number 1. Unlike the Pamphlets, leaflets normally gave information about specific invertebrates or collecting methods etc.
